Tataa..Here is torji - motor siji/first motorbike =). We bought this bike 1 month after Arya's born. The first comment from our friend how come i just gave birth and we bought a motorbike?? Hehehe..it's not that we're being selfish. We can afford cheap car in US, nice powerful car in OZ (3.500cc) but not in SG. Soooo expensive and plus where to go in this tiny islandcWith this torji, my nursing agenda was on track, so far.

I can't imagine taking torji to go to work if I'm in Jakarta..Thinking back about transportation to work, I have 6 unforgettable moments, based on preference:
1. ride a bike along the beach in St. Kilda (2004)
2. 20 minutes walk in Singapore (2005-2006)
3. take a limo - company's shuttle in Rye Brook (2003)
4. pass midnite..(sighh life as an auditor), on the way back to Tebet, I was stunned in the middle of the Kampung Melayu bridge when I saw Tebet's beach. I drove back to my uncle house in Kalimalang. Luckily, I rented second floor room in Tebet. (2001)
5. take ojeg sepeda (bike taxi) for 2 times when I did audit assignment in Sunter. The area around the building was flooded. So with laptop bag in my lap, wearing skirt and formal jacket, I need to ensure that the water didn't enter my high heels. (2001)
6. drive from kalimalang to kuninganc1.5hr straight urgh..traffic in toll!! You paid and you stuck in traffic (2001)
Ups sorry..it become mommy's story instead of parenthood..

life after Vivo City

I admitted that the tittle was exaggerated. =p It's just happened that the newest and biggest mall in this island located few doorstep away, around 20 minutes brisk walk (no stroller to push). Last Saturday, we followed the crowd, the whole Cabie 02100. Unbelievable!! You can't even walk straight. I compared with Sunday morning in Senayan, Jakarta or walk in Time Square, NYC. However those 2 sites are outdoor, this one is indoor!
Maybe 90% of Singaporean went down to check the hottest place, especially with the worsening haze, people tends to stay indoor aka shopping/window shopping. Almost all the brands are similar with the one in Orchards, some exception for ex. Gap (quite expensive compare to every corner Gap in Manhattan)!!
After quick browse, we did weekly shopping in Giant. We tried to call a cab afterward...hehehe..diapers are heavy you know and we can't do 20 minutes brisk walk. The taxi took so long because of traffic jam ckckckck So we cancelled the cab and walked back. Put all the shopping (including one whole watermelon and 2 big diapers - thought we went back by cab) in stroller. After 4 hours fighting with the crowd, all of us were so exhausted including the baby. As a proof, the baby was slept in till 8 o'clock on Sunday...
On Sunday noon, despite foggy Singapore, we went to Suntec which was unbelievably quite. Wow..!! When we went back, again another jam in Telok Blangah Rd.
I guess we need to get used to the jam at least till Christmas shopping!!

there's a first time for everything..

It's a marvellous feeling to witnessing baby's journey. Last nite, I saw the first time Arya rolled over from his back to tummy...twice!! This time I can handle myself not to clap my hand or scream happily given that the action happened in the middle of the nite. Arya did it once again in front of his daddy today..Ari was so delighted.
So..before the list gets longer, i'd like to list down Arya's milestone...

Day 60-an Able to hold his head 45 degree during tummy time
Day 81 Able to hold his leg
Day 97 successfuly reach for a toy

As previously mentioned, here is Arya's new toy, Dino!! He loves Dino at first sight because he gave full body smile the first time I introduced Arya to Dino. We do hope that Dino will be a good friend for Arya till he's big enough!! =p One day, if we bring him to the zoo and he ask us..where's the real Dino?? What should we say?!! Sighhhh why we chose Dino instead of Horse or Giraffe!!

Today I found such a cool website…cool for me as a new Mom in Singapore!!I found it today when we're not sure whether Arya got Polio vaccination last Saturday…Ups.. I thought that Polio vacc need to be given orally. I browsed through Arya's health book, I can't find any single proof. So I called Gleanegleas Med centre and asked the nurse. She said that it's given together with the DPT jab. Ow..that's why the health book was written 5in1. Feeling lack of immunisation knowledge, I browsed in yahoo. And I found this cool website where I can see Arya's immunisation history. It's linked with my Singpass (Singapore ID). Unfortunately, this one hasn't been updated with last Sat jab.

Hari Sabtu kemaren, banyak deh yang baru baru buat Arya. Arya dapet kado dari kantornya Mama - baby monitor (iya, tau apartemen kita kecil..siapa tau ntar pindah yg gedean =p) ama play mat. Arya juga dipakein baju baru - hadiah temen2 seperjuangan Mama. Untung dipake soalnya pas banget padahal bajunya untuk 6-9 bulan..Arya kan bayi yg panjang. Siapa dulu Mamanya?? (btw, skg ganti Mama bukan Mommy..siapa tau long term plan tinggal di Kampung Rawa). Udah gitu Arya pertama kalinya imunisasi DPT ama Polio. Arya nangis cuma pas disuntik habis itu ketawa ketawa lagie ama dokter Yip. Habis itu jalan jalan deh ke Tanglin Mall..lagie lagie Arya dapet maenan baru si Dino. Foto Dino nyusul ya...Senangnya!!

3 months , today!!

Arya hari ini udah 3 bulan loh. Trus trus ini 10 new things bulan ini:

1. masih mimi full ASI
2. udh seneng ngobrol walopun yg keluar baru "ooohhh uuuhhh ooohhh"
3. udah punya sleep pattern, bobo dr jam 8 malem ampe jam 4 pagi..hah lama amat?!! hehehe ternyata sambil merem2 juga masih mimi Mommy 4 kali
4. udah bisa megang maenan kecil walopun cuma sebentar
5. udah kenal ama Mommy, Papa ama Mbak Bin
6. udah bisa berubah tempat 90 derajat ..ini yg masih jadi tanda tanya..kok bisa?!
7. suka ngemut tangannya..nggak tau karena laaapeell ato rrrraakuuuss?!!
8. bisa megang kaki sendiri...
9. udah betah maen maen sendiri..fave place: leyeh leyeh di rocking chair sambil pupu
10. tambah lucu......

Wah udah lama ya nggak nulis. Soalnya mommy punya hobi baru nih…ngobrak abrik 'rumah' orang laen. Canggih niy teknologi blog (aduh kemana aja Mom??)
Hm..dimulai dari mana ya…wiken kemaren Arya didatengin ama Tante Imme yg jadi kurir bawain kado dr temen2 mommy. Asyik..Makasih tante, akhirnya Arya punya baju baru. Lagian baju pergi Arya kan cuma 1, baju kuning yg dibeliin mommy. Yang laennya udh nggak muat niy…udah ada 3 baju yg dipake cuma sekali, trus ada 2 baju yg sekali liat juga kita udh tau nggak bakalan muat…Arya kamu gedenya cepet banget sih!!!

Ya udah baju2 baru nya langsung dicuci padahal masih buat 6-9 bulan loh..takut ntar nggak muat. Besok pake baju barunya pas ke dokter ya…Wah semalem Arya sukses membuat Papa dan Mommynya tepar. Baru bobo jam 11.30 malem. Awalnya udh Mommy boboin niy jam 8. Mimi susu sambil dikelonin. Trus pas papa pulang jam 9, mommy berenang, Cuma bentar doank 2 lap, pulang mandi. Mommy selese mandi, Arya lagi nonton TV ama Papanya. Aduh Pa..kalau Arya bangun sih jangan ampe diangkat dr kasur, kalo udh melek gitu, ritual bobo harus diulangi lagi..=( Udh digendong, mimi susu, dinyanyiin..tetep aja bandel.
Trus mommy mau crita kalau ada 2 pihak yg kurang mendukung tentang program breastfeedingnya Arya. Ptama, dokternya mommy, "jadi ampe kapan niy mau breastfeed?" "Ampe Arya bosen, dok". Dan dokter diem aja, menurut Mommy, dia nggak suka karena Mommy nggak bakalan maen ke dokter itu lagi ampe Mommy selese breastfeed. Kedua, ama agen enfamama, yang langsung nuduh Mommy nggak breastfeed Arya pas tau Arya udh 3 bulan. Dasar mau jualan susu ya…Hehehe..bulan puasa kok nuduh orang..
Hari ini mommy ama papa baru nyadar..kok Arya pipinya tambah tembem trus pahanya kok tambah berlipat ya?!! Apa gara2 growth spurt wiken kemaren?? Yang Arya nyusu mulu nggak kenyang2??? Kata Papa, kita kecolongan =)
